Glitch in the Green
When we approach a landscape painting, we instinctively expect tranquility.
The endless green fields, the silent sky, and the harmonious order of nature,
this is the "Green," a promised visual sanctuary for our minds.
However, this exhibition introduces a delightful crack in that expectation.
Glitch in the Green explores the intentional malfunctions staged within the
perfectly orchestrated theater of nature. The participating artists seem to
follow the classical grammar of landscapes, only to abruptly insert unfamiliar
objects or twist the logic of reality. It might be an artificial object dropped in a
forest, a phenomenon defying gravity, or a presence that simply doesn't
belong.
These visual errors do not destroy the scenery; rather, they enliven it. The
whimsical "bugs" planted by the artists whisper to the viewer, "What you see
is not all there is." In doing so, the exhibition transforms from a space of
passive observation into a playground of active discovery.
In this strange landscape we propose, we invite you to turn off your logic for
a moment. Instead, enjoy the humorous dissonance that arrests your gaze.
Perhaps the most perfect landscape is one that is completed by a hidden,
delightful glitch.
