Chae Sung Pil

Chae Sung Pil's work embodies the original form of nature, the Five Elements of Yin and Yang. In his pieces, paper and canvas represent wood, with soil being the primary material, and the traces of flow symbolize evaporated water. The ink used in his work is a symbol of fire, collected from the charred marks of burned wood, while the silver powder used on the canvas background represents metal.

Through his unique and innovative sculptural language, Chae Sung Pil brings forth the original form of nature onto the canvas.
